A Reaction. Of Dogmatism.

That the errors in religion are “dangerous” while those in philosophy are usually only “ridiculous” might have been the case—until Hume wrote the maxim down. But once so-called philosophers dismiss their errors as harmless, dismiss them once and for all, dogmatism is born. And dogmatism does not care what name it wears—religion or philosophy, theory or worldview—as long as it may speak with impunity and is not held responsible for the actions of others.
